I was just wondering.
Which movie have you watched more times than any other?
For me it's The Wizard of Oz. When we were growing up, it was a yearly event at our house. Kids of my generation learned the cast of characters from Glenda, good witch of the North, to the Munchkins to the cowardly lion (my favorite) to the tin man and the scarecrow. Every time we watched the movie, we pick up on some detail that we hadn't noticed before.
Nowadays, I suppose kids would say a Harry Potter movie would top their lists. Or possibly a Star Wars flick.
As for me, I'll just keep following " the yellow brick road."

The Wizard of Oz was an annual event when I was growing up too. My daughter and I used to watch Gone With The Wind every summer. We would pick a hot afternoon and go downstairs to the TV room where it was cool and enjoy some time together.
Hi Marilyn:
I too grew up with that Movie, We have the collectible of it as well My kids and grand children also still to this day love this Movie. Oh here is some that not many know about the movie, Who was the original actor that was to play the Tin Man? Ok time up LOL it was Buddy Ebsen he did pretty much or the filming and they found he was very Allergic to the silver makeup so they had to replace him.
This is a very good movie I still have my favorites of the Disney collection.
Glad to see a post . Have a very Happy and Safe 4th of July.

Buddy Ebsen - the Original "Tin Man" dies"
LAST EDITED ON 08-07-03 AT 03:23 AM (GMT)
Just heard on the news that dancer/actor Buddy Ebsen has died at the age of 95.
He danced in films with Shirley Temple as well as many others. He was the original "Tin Man" in the Wizard of Oz, but had to be replaced because he was allergic to the tin in the face paint.
I have been watching some film clips being shown on TV of him dancing and he was really quite good.
You can read more about him here:

Linda,
I've seen Gone with the Wind a few times. That's one movie that has impressed my daughters. And yes, it would be a good movie for family time.
Dottie,
I knew that about Buddy Ebsen. He was a lovable character in the Beverly Hillbillies and Barnaby Jones.
I know I've seen him in a few old black and white movies, too.
I have two daughters so I pretty much have the movie memorized!
I can still watch and enjoy it though!
Just stumbled upon your blog and I love it! I too LOVE LOVE LOVE The Wizard of OZ - so much so in fact that as a youngin' I used to insist people call me 'Dorothy.' This is my all time favorite. Cheers!
Hi Marilyn: I hope that this little something will make you smile and I do hope your well. ~ ~God Bless~

Dear Dorothy, oh, I mean Jociegal,
I hope your ruby slippers take you where you want to go!
I watch Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House quite a bit. There have been times when I've watched it once a week for months on end.
Angie,
I've seen Mr. Blanding Builds his Dream House a couple of times. Love that Cary Grant.
Were you building your own dream house when you were watching it once a week for months?
These days the movie I watch the most is probably You've Got Mail - it always makes me smile and feel better. When I was a child though I used to adore this movie called Milo and Otis. It's about a kitten and pug puppy that go on an adventure through the wilderness. I went out and bought it again a couple of years ago - it's my secret pleasure to watch it still. lol.
Dear Pan,
I Love You've Got Mail. It's a remake of The Shop Around the Corner (1940, Jimmy Stewart). There is also a musical remake called In the Good Old Summertime ( 1949, Judy Garland).
I've seen them all.
